Yes, I am very glad that this is not my first day alone here in India... Brett is not so happy! As I am typing this, he should have been landed in Chicago and as he says "I would be eating my second piece of Chicago Uno pizza!" So, to try and ease his pain just a little bit... we ordered Pizza Hut pizza for lunch.
I will get back to the pizza in a bit... and of course there is pictures below! I have to tell you about shopping today!!! Yes, that was just another thing that Brett was not so happy about today... :)
FINALLY!!!! We were taken to a shopping market that was exactly what I wanted! But, before shopping... we had the drive of our lives!
Our driver today was the same crazy man that took us to the "mall" on our first outing here in India. The driver that drove like a mad man! He is a great driver! Unless, of course, you ask Brett about his driving! The trip started out with neither of the seat belts in the back seat fitting around our fat asses! I was totally fine with that... I stopped wearing one when I found out that the passengers in the back seat didn't have to wear them. Brett, on the other hand, sh@t in his pants and began to wrap the belt around him any way he could... It was hilarious! As we hit 120km/hr swerving through Tuk Tuks and pedestrians, I look over and find Brett holding on for dear life, sweating like a ******* in church, and his bottom lip trembling. OK... I guess you had to be there. I loved the drive! It was nice going a little faster for once! However, it did make trying to catch a picture of someone peeing a lot more difficult!
As we drove through Delhi, Brett and I were both noticing that this driver was taking us to Delhi Haat (the scam place) AGAIN! As we pulled up... I said... "Um excuse me... this is NOT the right place! We want to go to Dilli Haat... NOT Delhi Haat... NICE TRY!" Mind you, I had already warned the manager at the hotel that if the driver tried to take us to Delhi Haat again... that she would be down one driver! I wonder how much they get paid to take people there?
So, after that little detour... we finally arrive at DILLI HAAT! We had a blast!!! Haggling, shopping, haggling, shopping, it was perfect! Brett even bought a couple things! He even bought stuff that he didn't need to buy! EVERYTHING I bought I didn't need to! I have already told Brett that he is going to have to take all of my clothes home with him, so I can get all of the stuff I have bought home! Can't wait to go shopping next week!
The drive home was just as great as the drive in! Poor Brett! He just hates driving over here. Next week I am going to ask our daily driver to let me drive home one night! I hope he lets me!!!! Poor Brett!
On the way home today we asked the driver to turn on the radio. Brett and I are all about Indian music! This is our favorite song and has been downloaded on both of our iPhones!
I also got a tattoo today! Ok... don't freak out... It was just Henna Tattoo or a Mehndi (as everyone at the hotel calls it). I will get another one before I come home so that it lasts for everyone to see!
I still have a couple of things on my shopping list that I haven't bought yet... :) So we have three more weekends for MORE shopping! Judy (Brett's wife) is going to love the new Brett! He loves shopping and getting fish pedicures... NOT! Poor Brett!
My paybacks are coming!
Oh... I almost forgot... update on my smoking, or lack there of! Well I went 4 days without smoking! Except for the one I borrowed from a German guy (that we thought was French). UNTIL TODAY!!!!! I found a pack in my suitcase! I don't know where they came from or how long they have been in there... and I DON'T CARE!!! So, I will be smoking for another couple of days... until these run out again! So I am a happy camper right now!
That is it for now! Pictures below... oh yeah... If you click on the pictures and just view the slide show... you are missing out! The captions on some of the photos are more priceless than the pictures themselves! So read the captions!
Namaste!
The pattern of a long skirt that I bought for myself... Yes... I said SKIRT and MYSELF in the same sentence!
Menu at work... That Gulab Jamoon is our favorite "sweet"

A really pretty "building" we pass by all the time... We are going too fast to find out what it is.
An open pothole in the middle of the street... please excuse my pinky.
My Henna Tattoo artist... Started only getting one arm done.
So I decided to get both arms done... You shouldn't expect anything less!
The final designs! Just beautiful!
For all of the cab drivers in India... When someone says they want to go to Dilli Haat... this is where they mean!
Yummmmmmm Pizza!!!! Yes... I was eating like I had never eaten before!!!!
