So finally!!! Besides going to work every day, we are finally going to venture out in the real world tomorrow. We are going to a "mall" here in Noida. I can't wait to shop!!! Although, I am sure that my husband and bank account aren't quite as excited as I am. I was so excited that I could barely work today. Which is the reason we took off after 8 hours, instead of 10 (and then working from the hotel for a couple more) ... And headed to the hotel to have a beer and go to bed!
Or at least I thought we were going to have a beer... But the hotel bar and restaurants stop serving "alcohol" at midnight! So I had to grab some beer from the mini fridge, again, and take them down to the cafe.
Did I mention we were actually going outside of the compound tomorrow? I am so excited!!! Brett is even a little bit excited (only to be getting out of the hotel, not to shop)... I will pick up his slack!
As I am typing this my husband is probably out putting together our requests for our first care package. Number one on my list is ... Can you guess?? Yes... Smokes. Or fags, as they are called over here. I hadn't heard that term since I lived in Scotland. It threw me for a loop the first time someone said it over here. Ok... Back to the care package... This carton of cigarettes will hopefully be my last! Brett is going to be the cigarette keeper and only give me a pack if I am going to lose it, or harm someone. We even have a code phrase that I have to say that will show him I am dead serious about needing a cigarette. The phrase is so horrible that I will not even type it here. And... I just threw up a little in my mouth!
There is one thing here that I don't think I will get used to... But I might, stranger things have happened... The power outages! They are very random and only last for a couple of seconds. But when you are in the shower, or an elevator, those seconds seem like minutes!
I am going to interrupt myself real quick to give a shout out to my favorite security guard at work! Mr. Mustache! He is the one with the biggest gun and he watches and protects me everywhere I go outside, he even drives in the security jeep that escorts us to the hotel from work every night! And he has a great mustache! I will get a picture with him before this trip is over!
Next week is going to be exciting as well. We are going to go see the Taj Mahal! We will get a lot of pics! Brett is excited about seeing the Taj... Just not about driving there!
For those of you worried about Brett... He is doing much better. Ever since we moved closer to work and don't have such a long drive, he is acting himself again! I just hope our shopping experience tomorrow doesn't freak him out too much! We shall see! :) (Judy and Momma Bohannon... I will take good care of him!)
That is it for now... Not much to update when all we are doing is working, sleeping, and working!
I will post some random pics below. Have a great evening! I am going to go see if I can get a pedicure at 2:30 in the morning!

ReplyDeleteNow... I would personally freak out in MN! Brett has told me about stations outside hotels that you have to plug your car into in the morning so that it won't freeze! Really? No thank you! I won't travel anywhere it is that cold! A girl has to have her limits... Lol! JK!
