A rupee in my pocket: This is not going to end well! Literally!

Hello all!

Well I am writing this after just smoking my last cigarette! Yes... I am freaking out! Poor Brett! Just to put it in perspective the following quote is from my best friend in response to my post on Facebook... "Glad I'm not there. To Brett's wife, I'm sorry for your loss!" LOL!!!!

We shall see... I just hope I can keep it together!

Well we went shopping at the Connaught Place on Saturday... And Again!!! Not the kind of shopping I wanted to do... but I still bought too much stuff! And... Amazingly enough... Brett bought some stuff too! Yes, I was surprised too! I don't know how I am going to get all of this stuff home... I might just have to leave some of my stuff here... :)

While we were shopping we tried a couple of different approaches to fend off the guys trying to get us to go to the "biggest, and best, mall in the world" in a tuk tuk for "only 10 rupees" (not!!!) ... We tried to ignore them, That didn't work! We tried to talk to them and tell them "NO", that didn't work! We tried the "no hablo ingles"... that worked once! There was one guy that even recognized brett from the Jurassic Park movie (the computer guy that stole the dinosaur embryos) and the Ramada Inn three days ago (which we never visited).

But with that said we still had a good day!

After Connaught Place, we asked the driver to take us to Dilli Haat (supposed to be pretty cool). Well there is a big scam (that I had read about before we arrived) where the drivers will take their passengers to Delhi Haat (just a store) and get a cut of the money. Well right when we pulled up at DELHI Haat... I was like this is not the right place! I told Brett this was the scam that the drivers try to pull! Well... we went in anyway... and yes, I bought stuff. The last person you want to piss off is the man driving you around! LOL!

Today, we had a meeting in different "state"... but, to the point, on our way "home" there was this car that flew past us and was weaving in and out of traffic... and when something like that stands out HERE... that is saying a lot! Well I said "that guy is going to kill someone"... which I now wish that I had never said! And... I will never say it again. About a mile down the road... the traffic begins to slow down. There are people standing on the road everywhere, and then you see it, a man lying there in the middle of the road, his helmet 100 feet further down the road. And then another man laying in the road... his helmet even further. SO SAD!!! I pray for them and their families! I saw the first man breathing... Brett said that the second gentleman didn't look so good.

Just not to end this on that note... I am posting more pics below ... NO... none of the accident! That would be horrible!
